JUDGEMENT ON GAY MARRIAGE EXPECTED
Advertorial
The Constitutional Court is set to issue a judgement tomorrow, Thursday the 1st of December at 10am, on legalising same-sex marriage in South Africa.
The judgment is set to confirm or reject a Supreme Court of Appeals ruling earlier this year that that government should amend legislation in the Marriage Act to allow for same-sex marriages.
The department of home affairs appealed the ruling of the Supreme Court of Appeals and it is now up to the Constitutional Court to decide on the matter. Hearings were held by the court in May of this year.
Members of the public are welcome to attend in the public gallery of the court in Johannesburg.
