LESBIAN ROWER BREAKS RECORD

An openly lesbian British rower has become the first woman to row solo from Japan to Alaska, a distance of over 6,000 kilometres.
Sarah Outen not only completed the arduous feat after 150 days at sea but also got engaged to her girlfriend during her amazing journey.
“I have had some of the most intense and memorable months of my life out on the Pacific. It has been brilliant and brutal at the same time. And it has been a privilege,” Outen said in a statement.
According to the Daily Mail, Outen proposed to her long-time girlfriend Lucy during a satellite phone call from the middle of the ocean.
“I cannot wait to be with Lucy again,” Outen said when she arrived at Adak in the Aleutian Islands on Monday.
The rower’s journey proved to be extremely hazardous. Her boat capsized five times, she faced freezing and dangerous weather and was almost hit by a cargo boat.
Lesbian extreme athletes have been making a splash in recent week. Earlier this month proudly lesbian swimmer Diana Nyad, became the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage or swimming fins.
