CHAZ BONO WOWS IN DANCING WITH THE STARS DEBUT

Cher’s transgender son Chaz Bono wowed the judges and the audience in his debut on Dancing with the Stars in the US.

Bono’s participation in the dancing competition has generated considerable controversy, with anti-gay groups condemning his taking part in the popular show as “promoting transgenderism”.

On Monday night, Bono acknowledged his status as Dancing with the Stars’ first-ever trans contestant in an introductory profile video before coming out to dance the Cha Cha with professional dance partner Lacey Schwimmer.

His performance was greeted with wild applause from the audience, with the three judges also giving their approval of his dance moves.

“People have been waiting all night to see you Chaz. And you did not disappoint. Chaz Bono You can dance!” exclaimed judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

Enthusiastic fellow judge, Bruno Tonioli, went on to describe Bono as “cuddly and cute”.
