X-BOX GAME FEATURES GAY SEX SCENE

It’s been revealed that a sequence in the Xbox360 game Dragon Age, made by the company BioWare, features a secret gay sex scene between a human character and a male elf.

The scene can only be accessed if a player selects a certain sequence of responses while interacting with the elf.

By choosing the dialogue options “I want to discuss something personal”, followed by “Can you join me in my tent?” and “I bet you’re good at a lot of things”, among others, the player is finally treated to a romantic but not explicit love scene between the two characters.

The website Gaygamer.net welcomed the scene, which even includes romantic music, describing it as “…one of the most well-realised representations of gay sex in a video game to date”.

“With this bare-chested and unflinching portrayal, it feels as if the depiction of gay sex in video games has reached a new level of equal treatment. There’s choreography, tenderness, humor and even an element of sexual politics to Zevran’s post-coital conversation. Kudos to BioWare for adding a bit of a gay storyline to their game and for dealing with gay romance as even-handedly as they do the heterosexual options,” said the site.
