CHURCH TO PICKET JACKSON’S MEMORIAL SERVICE
Members of the Westboro Baptist Church in America who claim that “God Hates Fags” are planning to picket Michael Jackson’s memorial service which is being held later today. The Church, run by Pastor Fred Phelps, believes that homosexuality is to blame for all the world’s ills.
“Michael Wacko Jacko Jackson is in hell! We will be there to tell you to Thank God for the death of this filthy, adulterous, idolatrous, gender-confused, nationality-confused, unthankful brute beast. We will be there to remind you that God Killed Wacko Jacko,” an announcement read on the Church’s website.
“For you to wallow and murmur against God for his righteous Judgments is sin and will cause YOU to join Michael in hell. Save your money, stay away from that goofy place if you care about your never-dying souls. Each penny you spend to try to buy your way into that event will burn your flesh throughout all of eternity,” the notice said.
The Church usually pickets the funerals of soldiers who died in Iraq and AIDS victims, claiming that they were killed by God as a punishment for accepting homosexuality.
Jackson is set to be buried at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, after the king of pop died of a suspected heart attack on June 25. The memorial, which will be attended by 17 500 fans who won tickets in a lottery, will be broadcast live on local television on the eNews Channel (DStv channel 403) and E! Entertainment (DStv channel 124) tonight at 19:00 local time.
….. Why are we not surprised that the complete and utter idiot Fred Phelps (got it hurts to type his filthy name) will be there with all his little mindless drones?
If they were picketing outside a funeral for one of my family members, none of them would return home alive.
If there is a god somewhere please please please steer a double-decker bus into their little group crushing every single one of them. And then make it explode!
Now now, Mr Phelps has every right to picket wherever he wants. Even it that place is thronging with the 17 500 of the most crazed fans the world has seen since Elvis; some of who may or may not be carrying heavy bronze busts of the king, or perhaps crystal encrusted knuckle dusters and maybe a few commermorative AK-47s. You never know what memorabilia some may associate with Jackson.
That’s where I think you are wrong. He doesn’t have the right – nor anyone else – to picket outside funerals. No matter what your personal views it is never okay to taunt or mock the dead or spew such vile messages at loved ones while they are mourning. It’s called human decency & respect. Two aspects of human nature that he clearly lost when he allowed religion to twist his weak mind.
What I mean is, hopefully MJ’s crazed fans can sort him out so we can be done with this fool.
