WHITNEY HOUSTON CONFIRMS COMEBACK
Whitney Houston is set to release a new album on September 1st 2009. This will be the singer’s first full-length record to be released in seven years and her 7th studio album.
Forty-five year old Houston has generated over 170 million combined worldwide sales of albums, singles and videos since her debut in 1985. She has also been cited by the Guinness Book of World Records as music’s “most awarded female artist of all time.”
The album, titled The Wait Is Over, will reportedly feature the Black Eyed Peas’ Will I am, Akon and Sean Garrett as producer/songwriters.
Houston’s comeback comes after the collapse of her career amid claims that the singer was in an abusive and drug-fuelled relationship with singer Bobby Brown. She divorced Brown in 2007.
Tracks from the album will be previewed on Houston’s official website, Whitneyhouston.com, over the next few weeks and months, reports Billboard.
Tsk tsk tsk …. Why Whitney, why? Why put yourself and us, the devoted fans, through such torture? The voice is gone sweetie. If you’ve ever been afraid to retire, try your wings.
Can’t Wait!. It’s been far too long and we have missed her unique voice. Hope it’s a smash. Move over Mariah…………
