LEGENDS PUTS SAFETY FIRST

The much anticipated Legends Shuttle has been delayed due to the ongoing chaos in and recent temporary closure of licensing departments around the country.

So says Legends club owner Fulvio De Stefanis, who has expressed frustration at the delays in his drivers being given their Public Drivers Permit by the department. The process, which usually takes ten days, has now dragged on for over seven weeks.

“Legends will absolutely not transport anyone unsafely,” says De Stefanis, who has apologised to disappointed clubbers who were looking forward to the fun and safe ride from Joburg to Legends in Pretoria. The Shuttle was set to have launched at the end of March.

He says that, “We’ve been told that the granting of the applications is imminent, but this could take another two weeks. It’s completely out of our hands at this point.” He nevertheless insists that the brand-new 20-seater Legends Shuttle is otherwise ready and raring to go.

For a fee of R100 per person the Legends Shuttle will offer a return trip from Rosebank to Legends and back, includes free entrance to the club, a drink on the Shuttle and a welcome drink in the club’s ‘Welcome Centre’.

“Legends will announce the launch date as soon as we have the licenses,” says De Stefanis, suggesting that club patrons keep an eye out for updates about the Legends Shuttle in the gay media or at www.legendsclubbing.co.za.
