FEARS OVER FUTURE OF ATTITUDE MAG
There is concern that popular UK gay magazine, Attitude, may have shut down after its January issue failed to appear in stores and in subscribers’ mailboxes. The issue is now over two weeks overdue.
Reports say that the London offices of the 12 year old award-winning publication appear to be closed and phone calls and e-mails are not being answered. Its fax line appears to be disconnected.
The magazine’s printer says that its contract has expired and that it has not received an order to print the January issue. It is possible that other printers have bee contracted.
The magazine’s editor has been un-contactable and visitors to the Attitude website are met with an error message. No official statement has been issued by the publishers, Remnant Media. It is unclear if other Remnant publications are affected by the apparent problems.
Attitude’s distributors have told PinkNews.co.uk that there has been a production problem and that the January issue will only be available at the end of the month.
Attitude has been widely available in South Africa for a number of years.
