JANEZ RESPONDS TO GAY RUMOURS

Former Mambaonline Sexiest Man winner and television host Janez Vermeiren has responded to recent claims that he is gay and involved with a male colleague.
The rumours originated on gossip blogger Mika’s Stefano’s site after Stefano was sent pictures from an unidentified source of Vermeiren on location with openly-gay television director Bradley van den Berg.
Although the pictures simply show the two men with their arms around each other, Stefano speculated that they were romantically involved. “Could this be Janez’s boyfriend?”, he asked, adding, “It’s about time we had a sexy hunky gay celeb…”.
The story was picked up by Women24, which published the pictures and also suggested that Vermeiren could be gay.
“Word on the street is that Top Billing hottie Janez Vermuilen [sic] might be gay. We must admit, we’re a little heartbroken,” said the site.
Vermeiren, who identifies as straight, responded to the rumours on Women24 in an attempt to clear up the situation.
“So sorry that I’m not one of those homophobic types,” said Vermeiren.
He explained that Van den Berg “has been a close friend for many years and also my director for all Top Billing and Top Travel shoots over the past 4 years”.
“Oh and by the way I also have a six year old son and a girlfriend that I love dearly,” he added.
Last year, Heat magazine speculated about Vermeiren’s sexuality after he was photographed with two gay male models in Paris.
After winning the 2007 Mambaonline Sexiest Man title, Vermeiren told Mambaonline: “I’ve… got a lot of gay friends. I work with a lot of gay people in the modelling industry. A lot of people in the film industry are gay so I’m very comfortable with that.”

….. Who cares?! If Janez is straight then believe him and move on. Why the sudden furore over his sexuality? Just because he is pictured with a gay friend? Can’t straight men have gay (male) friends without their sexuality being questioned? It just shows that Janez is comfortable who he is and is accepting of everyone regardless of sexuality. We need more straight men like Janez.
Did you see the pics?. Just an observation about all the pics where the two of them were together: every single one of those pics showed two guys very much ‘together’. Never have i seen such intimate body language between a str8 and gay guy, regardless how long the friendship. But Janez identifies as straight. The pics leave a different impression *smiley*
,…… Regardless of what the pictures may or may not suggest about his sexuality, he says he isn’t gay so shouldn’t we just believe him and leave him to carry on with his life?
I must admit I like the attention I get from women and gay men. I am very comfortable with my sexuality. I know what I am attracted to. That being said. I have taken pictures like this with random people who think I am ‘whatever’ or ‘whom ever’.. Therefore, take a look at Janez’s hands. See how he is only touching himself. He is not as “in love” and the other gay dude. IF Janez was gay, and if that were any of our business to begin with, then I would, perhaps, see him leaning his head on the gay dudes head. Or Janez would have placed a hand on the gay dudes hand. I just don’t see where Janez is showing any “gay” behavior. In fact he seems to be just pleasing the gay dude for the sake of friendship and their working relationship.

If Janez is gay so what you are and he is straight so what, At the end of the day he is pro gay where most straight guy are so scared of us, because they think they have a cock and all gay guys want it. Personal friend?. Dunno about the rest of the world but someone who spoke of me like this chop is not someone I’d consider a ‘personal friend’. Makes me wonder who is really desperate for what (fame-wh0re by asociation, perhaps)?
Janez is a great role model for his honestsy and frankness in the face of sensationalism. Good for him.

Not every open minded, hot looking, grounded, and testosterone balanced man is not gay. Sure I, like many, many gay men, have a lil crush on this well known and well loved gent, nevertheless, he an exclusive lover of women in the sheets, shower, on the couch, or where ever he and his girlfriend choose to show their mutual affection for one another. Outside of any romantic involvement Janez chooses to love everyone. In the future you may find some tabloid exploiting a picture of Janez kissing a man. But that in no means makes him gay. Janez is very secure in his skin and is very, very close to those around him. I kiss all my family and closest friends. Does kissing or wrapping my arm around a women make me heterosexual? Nope. Still as gay as them come. So for all those struggling to find a real story or picture to sell for a buck… focus on a story or picture with a message which will leave a positive impact on your reader and society alike. Cheers!

Janez is just sitting there with HIS arms crossed, resting on HIS knees, with HIS hand resting on HIS own arm. Brad is the one trying to smother Janez. Very poor writing and editing by everyone involved with this blog/article. Making something out of nothing are we????? Please post a retraction. This is embarrassing to your publication.
